Emergency Medical Worker
To Software Engineer.

After graduating from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) in 2019 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, I worked for several years in the healthcare industry as an EMT, medical assistant, and I volunteered my time as a firefighter. I am passionate about helping others and giving back to my community.

My experiences as a healthcare worker during the height of COVID, combined with my interest in the EPIC inter-facility healthcare software, and my desire to impact the lives of more people drove me change careers.

From a young age, I have always enjoyed learning about and using technology. I enjoy keeping up with the news on the latest innovations, discussing it with others, and tinkering with devices. I am a problem solver who loves flexing his creative muscles. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to talk some more or work on a project together!

Technologies
Always curious to learn more!

My journey into software engineering began with writing simple toy programs in Python. Next, I dived straight into Ruby and later Ruby on Rails. I learned the MVC framework and connected it to a PostgreSQL database. I was hooked.

Currently my favorite language is JavaScript. I love its quirkiness, sheer scope of what it can do, and the community behind it. I love functional, beautifully designed, and responsive software that is a pleasure to use. Those are the baseline goals that I have when creating any type of product.

I am currently delving deeper into the world of Data Structures and Algorithms and reteaching myself Python.

What have I been working on?
